On February 17, 2021, at 6:21 PM, Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Interstate 10 Freeway and Apache Trail in the unincorporated community of Cabazon. The vehicle was occupied by two male subjects. The driver of the vehicle, who will not be named, was on active felony probation.  Gang Task Force Officers had both occupants step out of the vehicle to conduct a probation search of the vehicle. The front seat passenger, identified as Levon Landeros, a twenty-nine-year-old resident of Redlands, was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun in his waistband. A record check of Landeros confirmed he was a convicted felon and prohibited from owning or possessing any firearms or ammunition. Landeros was placed under arrest and booked into the Larry D.
