Details:
On February 22, 2021, deputies from the Colorado River Station were dispatched to a call of shots fired in the area of Mesa Drive and the I-10 freeway. The reporting party stated they heard three shots and saw a male and a female in a blue truck doing “doughnuts” prior to driving away. Deputies responded to the area and located a blue truck in a field. Deputies approached the truck and contacted Terri Pierce, age 24, and Ryan Thi, age 22, both residents of Nevada, lying in the bed of the truck. Deputies also located an AR-15 style rifle and three spent shell casings which were the same caliber as the rifle. Pierce and Thi admitted to shooting the rifle in the direction of the Blythe Airport and were subsequently arrested and booked into the Blythe Jail. Pierce was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm, possession of an assault weapon, and possession of a high capacity magazine. Thi was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm.
