On Tuesday May 07, 2019, about 8:30 PM, members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, Region-7, investigated a shooting that occurred in the 5000 block of Troth St. in Jurupa Valley. No one was struck or injured during the shooting. After a lengthy investigation, Task Force Officers determined the shooting was gang related and identified 25-year-old Riverside resident, Francisco Daniel Alvarez, as the person responsible for the shooting. Alvarez was identified as being an active member to a local criminal street gang. During a follow-up investigation, Task Force Officers learned Alvarez was also responsible for another gang related shootings that occurred on March 29, 2019 within the Jurupa Valley area. On Friday May 17, 2019, in the early morning hours, Alvarez was arrested in the City of Riverside for his involvement in the two shootings. Alvarez was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for the listed charges.
