On Friday, April 23, 2021, the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 Perris/Lake Elsinore, conducted a targeted enforcement patrol operation in the city of Perris. Assisting in the operation were Regional Gang Task Force teams from Coachella Valley, Corona, Murrieta/Temecula, Banning/Beaumont, Hemet, the Perris Special Enforcement Team, the Moreno Valley Special Enforcement Team, and the Street Racing Task Force. The operation focused on areas in which there has been recent gang activity and areas where known gang members reside.
During the operation, several search warrants regarding an ongoing gang investigation were served in the cities of Perris, Riverside, and Hemet. A total of 37 people were arrested for various charges to include narcotics, weapons charges, parole violations, probation violations, and outstanding warrants.
