Details:

On April 15, 2021, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) deputies conducted a follow-up investigation that stemmed from a grand theft totaling about $150,000, which occurred on March 10, 2021, at the 51000 block of Eisenhower Drive, in La Quinta.

On April 30, 2021, La Quinta SET with the assistance of multiple Riverside County Sheriff’s Department teams and allied agencies served a property related search warrant at four locations within the cities of Indio and La Quinta.

Arrested at the 43000 block of Yucca St., in Indio was documented gang member Rudy Mendez, 45 of Indio, for grand theft, possession of meth, child endangerment, felon in possession of ammunition, and parole violation; Yvette Diaz, 44 of Indio, was also arrested for possession of meth and child endangerment. A total of $9500 and additional evidence was seized pursuant to the terms of the search warrant.

Arrested at the 50000 block of Calle Quito, in La Quinta was Rolando Garza, 52 of La Quinta, for possession of meth. Garza was cited and released while Mendez and Diaz were booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.
