On Friday, May 28, 2021, at 11:51 PM, deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 30900 block of Las Flores Way in the unincorporated area of Thousand Palms. Upon arrival, they found a male adult with traumatic injuries. The male was transported to a local hospital, where he eventually died. The decedent has been identified as 30-year-old Nathan Wells.

Deputies secured the area and began an investigation. Investigators from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
