Details:
The Colorado River Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) conducted a vehicle stop for a California Vehicle Code violation on S. Neighbours Blvd and 30th Ave, in the unincorporated area of Ripley. A records check revealed, passenger Jose Cardenas (34-year-old resident of Blythe), had outstanding arrest warrants. During a search incident to arrest, Cardenas was found to be in possession of an unregistered firearm, Fentanyl pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Cardenas is a convicted felon and was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Blythe Jail for the following charges:
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of High Capacity Magazines
- Possession of an Unregistered Firearm
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
