Details:
On February 15, 2021, at 12:49 A.M., deputies assigned to the city of Coachella responded to the 49-300 block of Grapefruit Boulevard regarding a subject shot at the location. When deputies arrived, they located a male who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) assumed the investigation was able to identify one of the suspects as Eduardo Lopez, 27 of Coachella.
On June 10, 2021, at 7:30 P.M., CCAT with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a residence in the 83-500 block of Mecca Hills in the city of Coachella. Lopez was taken into custody and booked at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio, for attempt homicide.
