Between June 17 and June 18, 2021, deputies from to the Perris Station responded to two armed robberies and a burglary that occurred at businesses in the city of Perris. On June 18, 2021, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded to an armed robbery that occurred at a business in the city of Lake Elsinore. The suspect, clothing, and vehicle descriptions in all of incidents were identical. On June 18, 2021, a Lake Elsinore patrol deputy located two subjects matching the description of the suspects in the city of Lake Elsinore. The suspects were identified as a juvenile from the unincorporated area of Homeland, and an adult, Nathaniel Rodriguez, from the city of Moreno Valley.
During the investigation, with coordination and assistance with the Perris Detective Bureau Burglary Suppression Team, Lake Elsinore Detective Bureau/Special Enforcement Team, and the Moreno Valley Special Enforcement team, two residential search warrants were served in the city of Moreno Valley and the unincorporated area of Homeland. The juvenile suspect was booked at Southwest Juvenile Hall for three counts of Armed Robbery, Burglary, and Conspiracy. During the investigation, Rodriguez was identified as a suspect in a previous armed robbery that occurred on May 21, 2021, at a business in the city of Perris. Rodriguez was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for four counts of Armed Robbery, Burglary, and Conspiracy.
