Investigation results in arrest of gang member wanted for homicide.
On Thursday, June 24th, 2021, at 11:15 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) in cooperation with Thermal Station Investigations Bureau, conducted an operation that resulted in the arrest of a documented criminal street gang member wanted for Attempt Homicide that occurred on May 25th, 2021 in Thermal. During that incident two adult victims sustained gunshot wounds after being shot while sitting in their car.
Gang Task Force Officers located the suspect, Jesse Jordan Diaz, 30 of Thermal, in a parking lot in the 84000 block of Indio Springs Parkway in Indio. Gang Task Force Officers took Diaz into custody without incident. Diaz’ charges include Attempt Homicide, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Mayhem. Diaz was subsequently booked at John Benoit Detention Center in Indio.
