OfferUp armed robbery suspects in custody.
On July 1, 2021, at 9:02 AM, Moreno Valley Station deputies were dispatched to the 24000 block of Rimview Road, Moreno Valley, regarding a robbery at gunpoint. Upon arrival, deputies contacted the victim who stated he arranged to sell items at the location via the OfferUp application. When the victim presented the item for sale, the suspect pointed a firearm at the victim, took his property, and fled in a vehicle with an additional female. Deputies canvassed the area but were unable to locate the suspects or the suspect vehicle.
The Moreno Valley Station’s Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation and immediately began working leads. During the investigation, RBST discovered the suspects were again actively attempting to arrange a transaction for additional property via OfferUp. RBST followed-up on those leads and located the suspects in 22000 block of Town Circle, Moreno Valley. The suspects were taken into custody without incident and a firearm was recovered at the scene. The suspects also had their 2-year-old juvenile in the vehicle, who was immediately placed in the care of a deputy while awaiting Child Protective Services to arrive.
RBST subsequently authored and served a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, located in the 1400 block of Cedar Street, San Bernardino. During service of the search warrant, deputies located evidence of the robbery and the stolen property. The suspects were identified as:
 | |
Anthony Martinez | Bridgette Aurora Aguirre |
The suspects were later booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple felony charges related to the robbery, as well as child endangerment.
