Details:
On July 22, 2021, at 11:04 A.M., Thermal Station deputies responded to the area of Jackson Street and Avenue 52 regarding a robbery. Deputies learned the victim was assaulted and held at knifepoint while he was robbed of his belongings. The suspect was identified as David Soriano, 25 of Coachella. Soriano was previously arrested by the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) on July 21st, 2021 for a robbery at gunpoint; however, he posted bail and was released later that night. On July 24, 2021, at 12:15 hours, CCAT with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), took Soriano into custody in front of a residence in the 83-400 block of Calle Colima in the city of Coachella.
Soriano was arrested for robbery, committing a felony while out on bail, brandishing a knife, assault, and witness intimidation. Soriano was booked at John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio and has been denied bail.
