Details:
On August 2, 2021, around 11:01 P.M., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a major injury traffic collision on Railroad Canyon Rd. and Tassel Way, in Lake Elsinore. Deputies and Cal Fire arrived within minutes and located a single motorcycle that had struck a curb and light pole, ejecting the rider. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire paramedics.
Preliminary investigation indicates the rider was traveling at a high rate of speed east on Railroad Canyon Road, lost control of the motorcycle, and collided with a curb and light pole. It is still being determined if alcohol and or drugs were a factor in the collision. The Lake Elsinore Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating.
