Details:
On August 5, 2021, at 3:34pm, San Jacinto Station deputies began an investigation into a series of domestic violence incidents. One occurred on Saturday July, 31, 2021, in the city of Los Angeles and the second incident occurred August 5, 2021, in the city of San Jacinto. During the investigation the suspect, Joel Lopez 35 years old of San Jacinto was identified. Mr. Lopez who was out on bail ($100,000 BAF2101021) for conspiracy and unlawfully selling marijuana fled the scene of the incident. As a condition of his bail, Mr. Lopez was fitted with an ankle monitor. As the investigation progressed, deputies learned Mr. Lopez had made statements to his bail agent that he intended to cut of the ankle monitor and flee the country. The Post-Release Accountability and Compliance Team (PACT) tracked Mr. Lopez in an attempt to arrest him. At 4:16pm, Mr. Lopez was located near the Soboba Casino and taken into custody without further incident. Arresting officers located Mr. Lopez’ U.S. Passport in his vehicle. A Bail enhancement was requested and approved for $5,000,000 along with a declaration of source of bail money.
