On Thursday, August 26th, 2021, at 7:40 P.M., Task Force Officers from Region 6 Perris / Lake Elsinore, along with the Perris Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team, and the Riverside County Sheriff’s SWAT Team, served a search warrant at a residence in 1300 block of Mount Shasta Street, in the city of Perris. The search warrant stemmed from a robbery investigation lead by the Perris Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team.

During the search warrant, Task Force Officers contacted Daniel Ambriz, a 28-year-old resident of Perris, and documented criminal street gang member. A search of Ambriz’s residence revealed a short-barreled rifle, multiple high-capacity magazines, two weapon suppressors, a .380 caliber firearm, a Polymer 80 pistol lower, body armor, equipment used to manufacture illegal handguns and rifles, and 10 ½ pounds of processed marijuana.

Ambriz was taken into custody and charged with the Manufacturing of Illegal Firearms, Possession of a Short-barreled Rifle, Possession of Weapon Suppressors, and Possession of Marijuana for Sales. Ambriz was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center.
