On September 2, 2021, at 3:15 am, Jurupa Valley Sheriff station Deputies responded to a reported family disturbance near the 14000 block of Fabiola Lane, in the city of Eastvale. While in route to the residence, deputies learned that one of the occupants had broken a window at the location and negligently fired a handgun inside the garage, outside the presence of others.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted the occupants of the home and had them step outside; however, the shooting suspect remained inside the residence and refused to exit. The investigation revealed the incident began as a verbal altercation before escalating to a shooting call for service. Jurupa Valley station investigators and members of the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) responded to the location to assist. A surround and call out was conducted and initially the suspect refused to respond. The suspect eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was arrested for the negligent discharge of a firearm. No one was injured during this incident. This is an active and ongoing investigation with no further information available at this time.
