Due to the increased number of injury and fatal traffic collisions involving drivers who disobey the basic speed laws, On September 28, 2021 between the hours of 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM, Motor Deputies from the Perris Station’s Traffic Bureau conducted speed enforcement on Ramona Expressway in the city of Perris.
During the operation there were 17 citations issued for unsafe speed. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station Traffic Bureau is continuing its public awareness and enforcement with the intent to reduce the number of injury and fatal traffic collisions involving drivers who disobey the basic speed laws and other safety violations.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department encourages drivers to stay off the phone when behind the wheel which greatly reduces the risk of getting injured or in a crash.
