Details:

Due to the increased number of complaints received by the Perris Station Traffic Bureau regarding drivers reported disobeying the posted stop signs at the intersection of Nuevo Road and El Nido Road, On October 21, 2021 between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, Motor Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station Traffic Bureau conducted stop sign enforcement in the area.

During the operation there were 14 citations issued for drivers failing to stop at the posted stop signs at east and westbound Nuevo Road at El Nido Road. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Perris Station Traffic Bureau is continuing its public awareness and enforcement with the intent to reduce the number of injury and fatal traffic collisions involving drivers who disobey posted stop signs and other safety violations.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department offers steps drivers can take to greatly reduce the risk of getting injured or in a crash, including staying off the phone when behind the wheel.
