Details:

City of Norco, Calif. – On October 30, 2021, at 3:04 AM, deputies assigned to the Norco Station were dispatched to a residence in the 1600 Block of Valley View Avenue reference an assault with a deadly weapon. When deputies arrived, they located an adult male victim with numerous stab wounds. Deputies rendered medical aid to the victim until medical personnel arrived. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for emergency medical treatment.

The Norco Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation. Deputies identified the suspect as Ethan Melnikoff, a 19-year-old resident from Riverside. On November 3, 2021, with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Bureau, a search warrant was served at the suspect’s residence where additional evidence was located. Melnikoff was arrested without incident and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted murder.
