Details:

This operation was hosted by the Riverside County Sheriff’s San Jacinto Station. The primary mission of the operation was to conduct compliance checks of individuals on Post - Release Community Supervision (PRCS), Mandatory Supervision (M.S.), Parole, and Probation throughout the Hemet Valley and conduct high visibility patrol operations. The overall objective was to reduce crime in the area and create a safe environment for citizens to celebrate the holidays.

Since October 1, of 2011, AB109 has shifted the burden of supervising offenders released from state prison and formerly supervised by state parole officers to county probation departments. In an effort to improve oversight and accountability for this population in Riverside County, local and county law enforcement agencies are working collaboratively to enforce supervision and actively pursue offenders who are not compliant with their terms of release with the goal of reducing crime and safeguarding our local communities.
