On Thursday, March 24, 2022, at 12:19 AM, deputies from the Perris Station responded to the 400 block of Wilkerson Avenue in Perris for an assault with a deadly weapon investigation. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a male adult suffering from life-threatening injuries. Deputies rendered medical aid until relieved by emergency medical personnel. After several minutes of life-saving efforts, the male ultimately died from his injuries.
Investigators from the Perris Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent's identity is not being released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin. The investigation determined two suspects were involved in the assault, 24-year-old Jessica Bratschi and 20-year-old Erica Bratschi. Jessica and Erica Bratschi are sisters and residents of Perris. Jessica and Erica were arrested and booked into custody for the homicide.
