Riverside County Sheriff's Department Press Release

Reporting Deputy: Sergeant Frank Tiburzio

File # TE221040107

Details:

Jessica-Reichert
Jessica Emily Reichert

On Thursday, April 14, 2022, at 10:53 A.M., Southwest Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the 29600 block of Solana Way, in the city of Temecula, regarding a 3-year-old child who was missing. The father, who was the reporting party, also said his vehicle and the vehicle’s key were missing from his place of residence. A description of the vehicle and missing child were broadcasted to law enforcement personnel. Deputies searched the surrounding areas, including the use of a department bloodhound, and did not locate the child. At 1:45 P.M., a deputy from the Southwest Station located the vehicle traveling on Sage Road in the unincorporated area of Aguanga. Deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver failed to yield. The vehicle later stopped in the 32100 block of Temecula Parkway in the city of Temecula. The driver, later identified as 52-year-old Jessica Emily Reichert, was arrested and the 3-year-old missing child was located in the vehicle. It is believed Reichert is not related to the child.

Reichert was booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center for Kidnapping a Child Under 14 years of Age, Vehicle Theft, and other related charges. Reichert’s current bail is $100,000.00. This investigation is currently on-going.  Anyone with information regarding the details of this case is encouraged to call Investigator K. Horkel at (951) 696-3089 or Sergeant Frank Tiburzio at (951) 696-3043.
