[ARCHIVED] Female Student Approached while Walking to School

On Friday, August 12, 2022, at 9:15 AM, a female student reported she was approached by a male subject in a white vehicle while walking to school in the 4000 block of Opal Street in Jurupa Valley. The subject asked the girl for directions and then exposed himself to her. The victim did the right thing by running away from the subject and he drove away without further incident. The School Resource Officer was notified of the incident and is currently conducting an investigation.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male adult, 25–30 years old, black hair, with a beard and mustache. The suspect was wearing a blue shirt with a black collar and black pants. He was driving a newer white Ford Flex with a black roof.

Anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact Deputy C. Johnson of the Jurupa Valley Station, at 951–955–2600. 

Parents are asked to speak with their children about being aware of their surroundings and encourage them to use the buddy system while walking to or from school. As a reminder, if you see something, say something.
