On Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 4:27 P.M., members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 Perris / Lake Elsinore conducted a vehicle stop in the 21000 block of Olive Street, in the unincorporated area of Riverside County known as Good Hope. Deputies contacted documented criminal street gang member Chuchie Ceja, a 41-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore. Deputies discovered Ceja was a convicted felon and operating his vehicle without a driver’s license. Deputies requested Ceja exit his vehicle, and he complied. A subsequent search of Ceja’s vehicle revealed a sawed-off short-barreled .22 caliber bolt action rifle.
Ceja was taken into custody and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Possession of a Short-barreled Rifle. Ceja was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
The Perris-Lake Elsinore Regional Gang Task Force is committed to creating safe and secure neighborhoods free of violent crime and gang activity. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Jesus Rabago at (951) 210–1000.
