On Thursday, August 25, 2022, at 2:03 AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Thermal Station, responded to the area of Vista Del Norte and Grenache Lane in the city of Coachella for an unknown trouble call.
Information obtained by sheriff’s dispatch indicated a motorist had driven by the location and saw a person down in the street. Deputies arrived and found a deceased male with injuries. Deputies secured the area and began an investigation.
Due to the unknown circumstances surrounding the death, investigators from the Thermal Station and the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent was identified as 47-year-old Jorge Camargo of Thousand Palms.
