In the early morning hours of September 15, 2022, a suspect entered a closed business in the 200 block of North Redlands Avenue in the city of Perris by breaking a window and stole numerous laptop computers and cellular telephones.

The Perris Station Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation. During their investigation, they developed information that led them to conduct a probation search of a residence located in the 700 Block of De La Cruz Circle in the city of Perris. During the search, deputies located and recovered 15 stolen laptop computers and one cellular telephone.

During the investigation, a suspect was identified as Israel Gonzalez, a 25-year-old resident of Perris. Gonzalez was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for burglary, vandalism, and violation of probation. This is an active and ongoing investigation.
