On October 4, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., deputies from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station Traffic Team conducted a traffic enforcement operation within the city of San Jacinto. The goal of the operation was to educate drivers on the importance of driving within the speed limit and driving cautiously within school zones, especially while children are present. The operation resulted in:
17 citations issued for driving over the posted speed limit
14 citations issued for failure to stop at a posted stop sign
10 citations issued for failure to obey a posted stop sign
3 citations issued for failure to stop for a red light
8 citations issued for various traffic violations
7 citations issued for violations within school zones
5 parking citations issued
1 arrested for a misdemeanor warrant
1 vehicle towed
