Details:
Earlier this week, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station received complaints regarding possible illegal marijuana cultivation occurring within the city of Lake Elsinore, Riverside County.
On November 6, 2019, deputies served a search warrant on Vista Palermo. As a result of the search warrant, approximately 1,045 marijuana plants in various stages of growth were located and collected. In addition, the electrical system within the residence had been illegally altered causing a severe fire hazard and theft of utilities. The entire residence was turned into an illegal marijuana cultivation. There was no one located at the residence.
Lake Elsinore Code Enforcement along with Lake Elsinore Building and Safety deemed the house uninhabitable. Edison Company responded out to the residence and turn the power off to the residence due to the illegal wiring throughout the residence.
At the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, all information received regarding illegal marijuana cultivation will be thoroughly investigated.
This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact Deputy McCracken at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station (951) 245-3300.
