On July 14, 2023, at 5:07 p.m., Riverside Sheriff’s Southwest Station deputies responded to a business in the 40800 Block of Winchester Road in the City of Temecula, reference a smash and grab burglary. There were additional reports of a possible shooting at the location. Upon arrival, deputies learned two suspects entered the business and used hammers to smash glass display cases and steal an undetermined amount of jewelry. The suspects fled before deputies’ arrival. It was determined a shooting did not occur and no one was injured during the incident.
The Southwest Station’s Robbery/Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) responded and assumed the investigation.
