On November 20th, 2019, at 12:07 a.m., Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputies assigned to the city of La Quinta, responded to a single vehicle roll over traffic collision in the area of Highway 111 and Washington Street, La Quinta. The driver, Francisco Granados, 29 years old of Indio, was out of the vehicle and did not have any visible injuries. During the initial investigation a backpack containing a large amount of various controlled substances was located and identified as belonging to Granados. Granados was also found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun. Granados was arrested for various weapon and narcotic charges, after he was treated at a local hospital as a precaution. Alcohol and/or drug use did not appear to be a factor in the traffic collision. Granados was booked at the Riverside County Jail located in the city of Indio.
