On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at approximately 9:18 p.m., deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station responded to the 41000 block of Moreno Road in the city of Temecula after receiving a report of an assault with a deadly weapon that had just occurred.

Upon arriving at the location, the deputies located a 63-year-old Caucasian male suffering from a stab wound and lying on the ground. First aid was administered to the subject, and he was transported to a local medical center, where he succumbed to his injury. The Riverside County Central Homicide Unit was summoned and assumed control of the investigation.

During the course of the initial investigation, a 53-year-old female resident of Temecula was questioned regarding the incident but was later released. This investigation is ongoing, and additional follow-up investigation is being completed. No outstanding suspects are sought in this investigation.
