THREE ARRESTED AT JURUPA VALLEY DUI CHECKPOINT

Jurupa Valley, Calif. – Between March 15, 2024, at 8:00 PM and March 16, 2024, at 2:00 AM, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Jurupa Valley Station conducted a driving under the influence (DUI) checkpoint on Mission Boulevard and Daly Avenue, Jurupa Valley. During the checkpoint, 20 Field Sobriety Tests were conducted, which resulted in three people being arrested for DUI-Alcohol. There were also five people were arrested for driving on a suspended license, 15 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle without a license and four drivers were cited for miscellaneous Vehicle Code violations.

DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
