On Thursday December 5, 2019, school officials from the Coachella Valley Unified School District informed law enforcement about a report of a school employee possibly having an inappropriate relationship with a student who attended Coachella Valley High School. Investigators assigned to the Thermal Sheriff’s Station assumed the investigation.
During this investigation, investigators discovered that Edward Noel Alvarado Valadez, a 25-year-old resident of Coachella , had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student who attended Coachella Valley High School. This was done through various social media apps. On Thursday December 5, 2019 Valadez was located at another school within the district and taken into custody. He was later transported and booked at the county jail in Indio for the charge of lewd acts with a minor.
