Update: Suspect Identified 12-12-2019
During the course of the investigation and with the assistance of the public, the suspect in the murder of Ciara Harrison has been identified as 38-year-old Cainen Cameron Chambers, of Riverside. Chambers has been taken into and remains in custody at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

The decedent has been identified as Ciara Harrison, age 25, of Riverside.

On April 24, 2019, the deceased was identified as a 25 year female. The identity of the victim will not be released until next of kin is notified. The victim sustained significant injuries and this case will investigated as a homicide.
The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time. Details:
On April 23, 2019, at about 12:11 p.m., deputies assigned to the Moreno Valley Station were dispatched to a report of a deceased female in the 9000 block of Box Springs Mountain Rd. Upon arrival, officers located the female and pronounced death. The scene was secured, and Moreno Valley Station investigators responded to begin the investigation. Based on the circumstances of the subject’s location, the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
The victim is believed to be a female adult, unknown age or race. The victim has not yet been identified. The investigation is currently on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
