On Wednesday, December 11, 2019, deputies assigned to Problem Oriented Policing Team of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station received information from a concerned citizen regarding a possible vandalism suspect in the area of Riverside Drive near Eisenhower Street, City of Lake Elsinore. The citizen recognized the suspicious person from a social media post that was posted on a social media site. Deputies located the suspicious person and conducted an investigation into the vandalism.
The investigation lead to the arrest of Danny Salazar, a 22 year old, resident of Lake Elsinore. Salazar was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for felony vandalism, possession of spray paint with intent to vandalize, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with further information is asked to contact Deputy Talbott at (951) 245-3300.
