Details:
On Monday, December 16, 2019, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Broadway Street, in the City of Lake Elsinore. Upon arrival, deputies learned a pedestrian was walking near the middle of the intersection. The pedestrian, wearing all dark clothing, was struck by two vehicles traveling south bound on Grand Avenue. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Lake Elsinore Station Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting a full investigation into the cause of the collision. At this time, it is unknown if alcohol/drugs may be a factor in this collision. Grand Avenue, in both directions, was closed for approximately 5 hours during the investigation
