Othelon Lyons

On Saturday, December 21, 2019, 30-year-old, Othelon Lyons of Bakersfield was arrested for the Menifee murder of Claudell Garland Walter. Claudell Walter was shot on June 2, 2019, in the front yard of his residence on Light Sails Court. Otheon Lyons is currently held at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside with a one-million dollar bail.  Anyone who may have information related to this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Gonzales of the Central Homicide Unit, at (951) 955-2777.

Details:

On Saturday, June 1, 2019, at 9:50 PM, officers from the Menifee Police Department responded to a reported shooting in front of a residence on the 29000 block of Light Sails Court, Menifee. Officers arrived within minutes and located a 38-year-old male shooting victim in the front yard of his residence. The officers began lifesaving measures until the victim was transported to area hospital were he was pronounced deceased.   

Investigators from Perris Station and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the scene and assumed the investigation which is still on-going. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to family.  Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to contact Investigator Tinker of Perris Station, at (951) 210-1000, or Investigator Gonzales at the Central Homicide Unit by calling (951) 955-2777.
