On Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at approximately 02:55 AM, deputies assigned to the Thermal Station responded to a call for service at a residence located on the 50000 block of Calle Tolosa in the city of Coachella, regarding an adult male attempting to meet with a minor for lewd purposes. The initial investigation revealed an adult male, contacted a 14-year-old female and attempted to obtain her participation in specific sexual acts. The male was identified as Jonathan Joseph Munoz, an 18-year-old resident of La Quinta.
Jonathan Joseph Munoz was contacted in the 54000 block of Avenida Alvarado in the city of La Quinta and arrested at the location without incident. Munoz was subsequently booked at the Indio Jail for arranging to meet with a minor for lewd purposes.
