On Wednesday, January 8, 2020, the Palo Verde Valley Rural Crime Team conducted an operation to identify and arrest suspect(s) involved in the recent agricultural thefts in the area. During the operation, a Honda Generator and Makita grinder were stolen from a farmer’s work truck. The suspect fled the scene in a gray 2018 Ford Fiesta. The vehicle drove into a field where deputies contacted the suspect and recovered the stolen property. The male suspect was identified as Rafael Guido, 40-years-old of Blythe. Guido was subsequently arrested and booked at the Blythe jail.
