On Thursday, January 9th, 2020, at 5:00 A.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force served search warrants at five residences located in the city of Indio.  They were assisted by Riverside County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team, Indio Police Department, Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force, and the Coachella Community Action Team.  The search warrant stemmed from an investigation into a Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Firearm) that occurred on November 28th, 2019 in the city of Coachella. During the incident the victim was robbed of property and later shot at by one of the fleeing suspects. 

During today’s search warrant service, documented gang member Frank Gonzales, 22 of Indio was arrested and charged with Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  Gang Task Force Officers seized a 30-30 Rifle, Derringer Pistol, and body armor.  Gonzales was booked at the Indio Jail.
