On Wednesday, January 8th, 2020, at 8:23 P.M. a deputy from the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station conducted a traffic stop in the area of 7th Street and Vernon Avenue, San Jacinto for a vehicle code violation. The driver and sole occupant was identified as Mario Solis, a 41-years-old, Hispanic male, who is on active parole for drugs. During the contact Solis displayed object symptoms of intoxication and an investigation ensued. Based on his search terms and proximity of his residence, deputies responded to the 600 block of Camino Los Banos to conduct a parole search. During a search of Solis’ residence deputies located an unregistered Remington 870 shotgun, .22 caliber ammunition, tactical vest, handcuffs, burglary tools, two replica handguns, methamphetamine pipes and an Escondido Police Sergeant Badge. Solis was arrested and charged with Driving under the influence, Violation of Parole, Felon in possession of a firearm / ammunition / burglary tools. Solis was booked at Cois Byrd Detention Center.
