The victim, Jennifer Martinez was located safe this morning in the City of Los Angeles and was reunited with her family. The suspect was also located and is in the process of being booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for kidnapping, burglary, spousal abuse and vandalism.

On January 25, 2020, at 9:26 am, deputies assigned to the city of Jurupa Valley responded to the 3700 block of Eve Circle regarding a kidnapping. During the investigation it was determined that the victim, Jennifer Martinez, a 46-year-old resident of Jurupa Valley, was taken from the residence against her will by a known acquaintance identified as Robert Lopez, a 46-year-old transient from the Los Angeles area. Both subjects were last seen walking from the area.
An extensive search was conducted by personnel assigned to the Jurupa Valley Station, Riverside Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau, Riverside Sheriff’s Aviation Unit, Riverside Police Aviation Unit and bloodhounds from both Riverside Sheriff’s K9 Unit and Riverside Police Department. Neither subject was located.

Jennifer Martinez is described as white female, 5’6” tall, weighing about 120 pounds with short hair brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white top and black and silver striped pajama pants.
Robert Lopez is described as a Hispanic male, 6’1” tall, weighing about 250 pounds with a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark pants. He has a possible skull tattoo on his right hand.
