Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station to host Community Oriented Policing Zone meeting on February 20, 2020

On Thursday, February 20, 2020, Deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station and community members will come together to discuss community issues and continue to build positive relationships.  All community members are invited to attend; however, the focus of the meeting will cover Zone 1 and 2 community issues.  Zone 1 encompasses the area of Moreno Valley situated north of State Highway 60.  Zone 2 is bordered by State Route 60 on the north, Lasselle Street on the east, Alessandro Boulevard on the south, and Old 215/Day Street on the west.  The event is scheduled from 6-8 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, 22850 Calle San Juan de Los Lagos, Moreno Valley.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station is committed to enhancing the delivery of quality service to the community we serve.  The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station’s goal is to educate residents on community-oriented policing and how officers and the community can work together in creating safer neighborhoods.  This meeting will give residents an opportunity to voice their concerns and meet with station representatives.  

A Zone Deployment System, which is derived from community oriented policing principles, represents the organizational and management methodology to meet these challenges.  The principles and practices of community-oriented policing is utilized within all areas serviced by the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station. The zone policing program aims to advance the practice of community-oriented policing through improving relationships between Deputies and community members.
