On Wednesday March 4, 2020, at 8:17 PM, Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a missing person call in the 31000 block of Calle Helene, Thousand Palms. Deputies discovered Benjamin Camargo, 92 years-old, voluntarily left his residence on March 4, 2020, about 5:30 PM.
Mr. Camargo is described as a Hispanic male, five feet nine inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds. He has grey hair and brown eyes. Mr. Camargo was last seen wearing blue shirt and black pants. According to his family, Mr. Camargo suffers from dementia. He is believed to be driving a white 2007 Toyota Rav4, license plate:6ARH233.
An extensive search was completed for Mr. Camargo, but he was not located. The search is continuing. The California Highway Patrol was contacted, and a Silver Alert was activated.
