The Homeland Security Training (HST) program is dedicated to ensuring that Riverside County is prepared to respond to critical incidents, public safety, education, public health, and homeland security. Experts on the HST team provide specialized courses to meet the operational training needs of the Riverside County Operational Area (OA) and surrounding counties.
HST's training serves first responders, county employees, and the community, utilizing the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and State Emergency Management System (SEMS). Programs include:
- Critical incident, tactical and operational skills
- Department of Homeland Security courses
- General courses
- Technical training
Courses are held year-round at Ben Clark Training Center.
