The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s governing body, Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST), mandates all peace officers to complete Perishable Skills and Communications training every two years. The Ben Clark Training Center administers the Perishable Skills Program (PSP), which consists of eight hours of arrest and control, eight hours of firearms, eight hours of tactical communication, and eight hours of driving and force option simulators.
