Details:
On Sunday, May 10, 2020, at 3:56 P.M., deputies from the Thermal Station responded to a report of a domestic disturbance occurring at the 64000 Block of Harrison Street, in the unincorporated area of Thermal. The victim advised her intoxicated husband, later identified as Marlonne Moncada, a 29-year-old male resident of Cathedral City, struck her while attempting to instigate a physical altercation with family members. Moncada then drove his vehicle recklessly around the residence, purposefully colliding with a telephone pole and palm tree.
Deputies arrived as Moncada fled in the vehicle. Moncada then abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot. Deputies gave chase and were able to apprehend and arrest Moncada without incident.
Moncada was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he was issued a citation and released at the hospital.
Anyone with additional information is urged to contact Deputy Amezcua, by calling the Riverside County Sheriff’s dispatch at (760) 836-3215, or the Thermal Station at (760) 863-8990.
