Details:

On December 2, 2020, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) served a search warrant with the assistance of La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET), The Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), and the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) at three locations in the cities of Coachella and Indio.  The search warrant stemmed from a robbery incident which occurred on November 29th, 2020 at De Oro park in the city of Coachella.  Taken into custody were suspects, Christopher Topete, 20 of Coachella, Joe Perdomo, 20 of Coachella, and a 16 y/o male juvenile.  Narcotic sales indicia, the weapon used in the robbery, and stolen property were recovered during the search warrant.  The male juvenile was booked at the Indio Juvenile Hall for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.  Joe Perdomo was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center (JBDC) for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.  Christopher Topete was booked at JBDC for robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, possession of marijuana, Xanax, and Fentanyl for sales, and two felony warrants for possession of narcotics with a firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm.  Also arrested and booked at JBDC was Jose Rosas, 29 of Coachella, for two felony burglary warrants.
