Details:

On Saturday, January 15, 2022, about 8:43 p.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Jurupa Valley Station, responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision at Van Buren Boulevard south of Jurupa Road, in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies and Cal Fire arrived on-scene and located a single vehicle accident. The driver and sole occupant of vehicle succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire paramedics.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation. It remains unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.

Both directions of Van Buren Boulevard between 56th Street and Jurupa Road were closed for the duration of the investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released pending further investigation and the notification to the next of kin.
