On April 5, 2023, about 8:52 pm, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Jurupa Valley Station responded to the 6800 block of Limonite Avenue regarding a major injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, deputies discovered a pickup truck had left the roadway and collided into a tree. The pickup truck was engulfed in flames as deputies arrived. Cal-Fire arrived and extinguished the flames. Upon extinguishing the flames, Cal-Fire located a deceased occupant inside the truck.
The Jurupa Valley Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
